    River Glen Homeowners Association, Inc.
    Minutes from the January 5, 2010
    Homeowners Association Meeting

    In attendance were a total of 23 homeowners.  From the Board included Bob Foust, Paul Bailey, Dick Dunkelbarger, Jeff Scott, Terry Seybert, George Howell, Donna Clifton, Dave Lynch. Bob Foust called the meeting to order at 7:03PM.

    Crime Watch
    Sgt McFarland from Fishers Police department discussed the Crime Watch program.
    • River Glen has a very successful program, 8 years old.  Crime Watch has 55 active neighborhoods in Fishers.
    • Suggested to signup for the Fishers alerts available online; information provided in handout package provided.  Stressed the importance of calling if concerns; do not hesitate to call if there is a security or safety concern.  Suggested to make it difficult for thieves- i.e., recent theft of golf clubs left in cart.  Families can submit vacation requests that will provide additional surveillance.  Sgt provided listing of calls in 2008 & 2009; 2009 improved.

    Nominations for Board (Bob Foust)
    • Kurt McKinley; Sang Nam; Carrie Bishop.
    • Carrie Bishop was in attendance.  Bob requested a show of hands to elect Kerry to Board. Carrie was elected unanimously.

    Financial (Paul Bailey)
    • We will be under budget for 2009
    • Paul discussed several line items
    • Capital improvements were made in lighting and sprinklers

    Architecture (Bob Foust, George Howell)
    • Not much activity
    • Hailstorm special attention worked well
    • Questions were answered relative to the architectural form and procedure, as well as when the application is required.

    Block Captains (Donna Clifton)
    • Most captains will be continuing for 2010
    • Block captains need to work to obtain e-mail addresses of neighbors in their area
    • Donna provided an update of housing market within River Glen

    Lighting (Jeff Scott)
    • Reviewed improvements made in 2009
          -- Low voltage lighting at 116th & River Ridge entrance, using Fisher’s
             Township grant monies
          -- Globe replacement, relamping, new ballasts, and photocell improvements
             after hail damage
    • Next project: replacing ground lights

    Landscaping & Sprinklers (Paul Bailey & Terry Seybert)
    • Landscaping is largest expense
    • We will use Double Eagle again for 2010, same price
    • Working on sprinkler replacements and upgrades
    • Working on masonry structures

    Communications (Dave Lynch)
    • Magazine- need articles, please provide by the 10th of each month for submission in following month magazine.
    • Please provide directory changes when they happen, during the year. This updates the website and the next directory publication

    Crime Watch (Lois &Tom Beers)
    • No crime issues during the construction efforts after hailstorm

    Miscellaneous
    • Thanks to Margaret Healey for helping with Christmas decorations.
    • There has been an increase in fire truck activity on Pymbroke Circle (city uses to go to garage area) -- traffic has increased in last few months. Suggested to call the city.
    • Cell Phone tower issue discussed. No more information as to if and when will be a reality.
    • No updates on barn sale.
